Welcome To My Blogsite! Thanks for visiting! Please take some time to browse around and look at my work. I have a new format here - instead of asking you to take time to view two sites, I have found an easier way to clump it all together. I now have a BLOGSITE instead of a website and a blog - a hybrid site, if you will. I used to send interested clients to my blog for recent posts and then I would send them to my flash website for my pricing, calendar and galleries. Now, conveniently, it's combined into one "clever" site. I try to keep my calendar updated regularly so be sure and check that out as well and drop me a note if you would like to schedule something with me. I want my sessions to be relaxing and FUN! I mean, there aren't many people who actually enjoy getting their picture taken, are there? Let's change that...give me a ring. |
Candice+Lance=Love Forever
Posted on February 7, 2010
WARNING: IMAGE OVERLOAD
It’s been such a long time since I have posted – it’s been such a long time since I was out in the “field.” I have missed it but duty calls and I absolutely love my job so I definitely cannot complain. My first time back out was last Saturday with an absolutely adorable couple. I hardly had to direct this couple at all. This was all real stuff…real affection, real hugs, real kisses – REAL LOVE! Lance is AMAZING with Candice. He was always rubbing her arms or cuddling her tight to keep her warm. He looked at her with such adoration and she smiled back lovingly. I can say with 100% certainty that this couple is the real deal and I have no doubt their marriage is going to be strong, happy, loving and FOREVER!!
Candice and Lance – Thanks sooooooo much for entrusting me with your engagement pictures. Stay sane over the next few months as you plan your big day – relish in this time; it all goes way to fast.

I don’t know what it is about this last image but it totally grabs me! I can see this blown up and put on canvas and hung in their home. I LOVE IT!! So REAL!!

Meet Brandi
Posted on December 24, 2009
Brandi is in her senior year at Lubbock Christian and if you haven’t scrolled down already, she plays bb for LCU. (I promise to make it out to watch you before the season ends, girl!) This stunner decided to give her parents a nice Christmas present this year and I do believe she delivered. She and I went out a couple of weeks ago and shot all over Lubbock so we could get some good shots in her uniform before her last season ends. I met Brandi through tennis and oddly enough, we are quite a bit alike in the competitive aspect of things. She has such a great disposition and I just love Brandi to death. There are soooo many more to show but I MUST get some Christmas shopping done before the stores close on me. More later…
Thanks Brandi! I really enjoyed taking your pictures – you are absolutely gorgeous!

Meet My Nanny, My Tennis Partner but most importantly, MY FRIEND!
Posted on December 24, 2009
I had the pleasure of meeting this blonde, bubbly and completely hilarious Texas Tech beauty summer before last. We happened to be playing on the same combo team together and I asked her if she babysits…the rest is history! Amy is so many things to me – a few days a week, she comes over at 6am in the morning so my husband and I can leave for work. She then feeds my kids, gets them ready and safely drops them off at school – ON TIME, I might add; which is way more than I can ever accomplish. She helps me in so many ways with my kids and around my house…I was so lucky to find her and my kids adore her.
Amy is also my tennis partner – poor girl! I have a very funny story to tell about our very first tennis match together. Well, ya see, Amy and I share the same birthdays; however, she was born a few days before I graduated from high school so there is quite a gap in our ages. Amy, knowing how much I dread getting older, lovingly whispered to me after playing the worst set in my life, “If you don’t pick it up, I am going to tell everyone you gave birth to me on your 18th birthday!” ha ha ha ha! That Amy chick sure is hilarious alright. Amy and I didn’t lose again that season (we haven’t been so lucky in tournaments)! Heck no am I letting her tell anyone I am her MOTHER!!! I love playing tennis with this girl…we have a great time and we really even each other out.
But before I close this little post, I must talk about what a good friend Amy has been to me. The age difference means nothing to me, she is wise beyond her years, she is the most got-it-together person I have met in a very long time and Amy is an amazing listener. We will be lifelong friends – even though she will be pushing me around in my wheelchair someday. ; )
I feel extremely blessed to have this spunky little lady in my life and I really don’t know what I am going to do without her come August – She’s graduating from Tech and moving on to new endeavors. Amy D. will be missed!

And hands down, my most favorite image of the session… (she should model!)

Meet the Eagan Family
Posted on December 15, 2009
I met Brandon over four years ago when I started working in Amarillo. He works at a hospital I call on frequently. Brandon and his beautiful family met me on a very cold, blustery day in a Amarillo last week for some family pictures. The kids did their best to be troopers on what was one of the coldest days of the year – it was way better weather than what we were to originally have to face the Saturday before. We started out at a park and I just wasn’t gettin’ what I wanted…we then found an awesome abandoned barn – I loved shooting there and I can’t wait to shoot there again. The kids were able to stand getting their pictures taken at that point because the barn helped block the wind and frigid temps. These girls did an awesome job and how adorable is the baby?? Lovin’ those pigtails.
Thanks Brandon and Angela – See you for another round in late spring!

Holt and Lainey
Posted on November 24, 2009
These adorable children were featured in my blog last year about this time. It is always such an honor when I have repeat customers – means so much to me. Holt is in Blaze’s kindergarten class and I have known his mom for a few years now. Lainey is a busy little girl and I had a hard time capturing her as she was running all over the place but seriously, how adorable is she!!! Oh my gosh, look at those eyes. And Holt’s expressions are priceless. Thanks so much, Alison – I enjoyed spending time with you guys again. Your children are absolutely precious!!!!!!

Meet My Good Friends, The Chesley’s
Posted on November 21, 2009
Laresa is a good friend of mine from Amarillo. Her daughter, Ms. McKenna, was on Kellyn’s soccer team so that’s how we met. Her youngest son, Evan, is another one of Blaze’s “best buds” and he’s always been so nice to play with Blaze when we are around them. I haven’t been around Laresa’s oldest, Walker, too often as he is always so very busy but I learned while taking his pictures, he is quite the prankster! Laresa and I have played tennis together, participated in a Bible study together, had girl’s night out’s together and we have laughed together – a lot!! I miss these people – so glad we stay in touch. I had a great time taking your pictures, guys. Hope you enjoy them. (Larry, thanks for being such a good sport during this shoot!)

Meet my good friends, The York Family
Posted on November 14, 2009
This family was the first family we met after we moved to Amarillo. Tiffeni, Brent, Karsyn, Kenna and Kadyn are some of our very best friends – In fact, Kellyn and Karsyn, after two years of us moving from Amarillo, still stay in touch and spend as many weekends together as possible. Blaze and Kady are good buddies too and Blaze swears she would be his girlfriend if she would just let him. : ) Now Kenna, she is my bud! She is the middle child and she reminds me so much of myself when I was her age. (God help us all!) Not only are these three some of the prettiest little girls I know but they are also the sweetest and have the most wonderful dispositions. Now Tiffeni and Brent, on the other hand, they are a different story. No, in all seriousness, I love these two. Brent – dry, real and HILARIOUS! Tiffeni – scatterbrained (just like me), SO MUCH FUN and a life-long friend.
I had a great time taking your pictures. Thanks for allowing me the opportunity. Love you guys! (Even you, Brent!)

Meet Callan
Posted on November 4, 2009
I met sweet Callan and his mom and dad for the first time yesterday. It was the most beautiful fall night and we certainly took advantage of the great weather. Callan is a happy almost four year old with an infectious grin. His mom and dad finally got him to laugh and smile for real – it’s so funny when the kiddos think that by saying “cheese,” they are giving us photographers what we want. His mom and dad love him so much and I get the warm fuzzies knowing I was able to capture that for them. Thanks guys! I had a super time and your little one is adorable!!

The Spruiells Family
Posted on October 18, 2009
It’s so nice to get clients to hire you once but a second time feels absolutely awesome. Sherri is a friend of mine who I met through another friend and I took her kiddos pictures about this same time last year. Now, her twins, Tyler and Tanner, are on my son’s soccer team. I suspect it will stay that way for years to come and I am delighted I will get the opportunity to spend more time around this family. T.C. is Sherri’s hubby and he was such a trooper – never complained once about posing for pictures for two hours. And Trace…Trace is just adorable. I couldn’t get him to smile much but when I did, it was priceless. Even when these boys weren’t smiling, their expressions are just too perfect for words. Thanks Spruiell family for a great afternoon…even if we did have hunters shooting at us. ; )
